Many people began asking why the 1997 version of “Cinderella” staring Brandy and Whitney Houston was not on Disney Plus for streaming. These calls particularlly came after Brandy released her new album, Moesha was added to Netflix, and the star had fully returned from her hiatas. When Brandy was asked in interviews why the iconic made for tv movie was not on the platform and she also expressed confusion, considering the fact that Disney owns the rights to the Rodgers and Hammerstein Movie.

Now- just this morning Brandy went on ABC’s “The View” to make an exclusive announcement- that “Cinderella” will begin streaming on Disney Plus on February 12th, which is right around the corner.

I can’t wait to relive the movie over and over again. I can recall owning the VHS tape as a child and spending full days watching the movie, singing along with Brandy, and also not realizing how groundbreaking of a movie it really was, and still is today. I’m glad that new fans will have the chance to enjoy a movie that was such a mainstay in my childhood.
